When trying to select and relocate the root node (e.g. "R:\") of a backup, an error is logged:
"Relocated drive 'R:\' must also be renamed".
As colons and slashes are not valid characters for a folder name, the root needs to be relocated and renamed at the same time. Therefore please fill both "Relocate" as well as "Rename" in the "Relocate" window.
For "Rename" enter the name of a directory, e.g. "originaldrive" - this directory will then form the new root node, under which all directories will be restored.
For "Relocate", enter the name of the drive that will hold this new directory, e.g. "C:\".
In the end, you will end up with the structure C:\originaldrive\
Please note that the rename target needs to be a valid DIRECTORY name, not DRIVE name (i.e. "restoredirectory", not "e:"). It's not possible to restore directly into a drive, only into a subdirectory. This is down to the structure of the tree. If you really need the restored files in the root of the target drive, the easiest option would be to move them one level up after the restore.
Alternatively, you can select each to-level folder individually and relocate it, instead of selecting on root.
