How to backup/restore NetVault Policies (4043418)

Description:
In a Netvault:Backup environment with different backup policies, is there a method to save these policies, and restore them to a new location (for example to a new NV server)?

Policies are backed up when a NetVault Database (NVDB) backup is performed, and is a part of the “Schedule Manager” component.

To restore a policy you must restore the entire "Schedule Manager" component from the NVDB backup. It is not possible to backup or restore a single policy in isolation.

**Warning** Restoring the Schedule Manager will overwrite any changes made since the time the NVDB backup was taken. Any changes (Jobs added/removed/modified) since the last NVDB backup will be lost.

Note that to restore an NVDB (or part of NVDB) to a new location the NetVault machine name (not hostname) of the two NetVault servers must be the same. The machine name is defined when NetVault is installed, and can not be changed after installation.
