The cause for this install error is due to the customer running a Core version of Hyper-V. Netvault does not support the Core version of Hyper-V.
Hyper-V Server Core is a significantly scaled-back installation. It does not contain all the libraies needed for a successful Netvault Client version install.
The Hyper-V server has to be upon Windows 2008 or 2008R2 Standard, DataCenter, Enterprise, Web Server or Foundation server versions.
Verify what version of Hyper-V is running in the eniviroment. If it is the Hyper-V CORE version unfortunately it is not supported. The only recommendation would be to use a Hyper-V version that is supported. Windows 2008 or 2008R2 Standard, DataCenter, Enterprise, Web Server or Foundation server versions are supported.
