Cause
In some instances if someone forgets the NetVault password that was used during the installation ,it can be reset back. -
Resolution
1.In the Navigation pane, click Change Settings.2.To configure default settings for the NetVault Backup Server, click Server Settings.— or —To configure default settings for a NetVault Backup Client, click Client Settings. In the NetVault Backup Clients table, select the client, and click Next.3.Under System and Security, click Security. In the Security dialog box, configure the following settings.
Master PasswordSpecify a password for the NetVault Backup machine.The password can contain a maximum of 100 characters. It cannot contain the following characters:\ and spaces.The NetVault Backup password is used to add and access the clients. For more information about NetVault Backup passwords, see the NetVault Backup Installation Guide.Confirm PasswordType the NetVault Backup password again for confirmation.4.Click Apply to apply the new settings and close the dialog box.
