Critical Release Notification for NetVault Backup 11.1.0.28 -
Description
This week we determined that the latest release of NetVault Backup version 11.1.0.28, released on August 15, 2016, contains a data restore defect. This results in failed restores and unrecoverable backups. The issue only occurs when attempting to restore from tape and/or VTL backups that span multiple tapes. All other backup methods are not impacted.
If you installed NetVault Backup version 11.1.0.28 and use the tape / VTL protection scheme mentioned above and are unsure this issue impacts you, please contact Quest Software Support for further assistance. If you have downloaded and have not installed this version, please do not install.
