Does nvsendmail support SSL and TLS SMTP encryption? -
Description

Cause
The smtp server error message means the “source client” (the tool sending the message, i.e NVBU nvsendmail) doesn’t manage to fulfill the mandatory requirement for an encrypted communication channel (TLS in our scenario).The nvsendmail utility currently does not have SSL and TLS support. -
Resolution
Workaround:
None.
Status:
Enhancement Request FT-951 has been submitted to the NetVault Backup Product Management team who will be evaluating the request and possibly include it in a future version of NetVault.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
SSL and TLS support for e-mail notifications is now available on NetVault version 13.3 or higher. -
