Trouble shooting steps:
1) Log on to the SmartDisk server.
2) From an elevated command prompt in Windows or logged in as root on linux locate the directory where SmartDisk is installed
Windows default is C:\Program Files\Dell\Smartdisk
Linux default is /usr/netvault
3) from the install directory cd into foundation\bin
4) run the smartdisk.bat for Windows or .\smardisk.sh with the following options, ex. smartdisk.bat status
status - this should return percolator slave is listening
start - should return percolator service started
stats - should return status about data stored/staged and running processes
stop - should return percolator slave stopped
If the service is running and stopping and starting does not resolve the issue or if the service will not stay running please run the smartdisk command with the dump option. This will create a log bundle, named similar to smartdisk-trace-2015-10-12-123846.zip, in the directory you are in. Please open a support ticket and include the log bundle.
