The XFS file-system is a journaling file-system, which uses write-back mode. This means that before disk operations are executed the operation meant to be executed will first be written to the XFS journal and then the operation will take place. If the "lazy-count" option is enabled, the XFS driver will not update the global volume counters in the superblock when the freeze command is executed.
This means that the XFS counters are in actual state in log, but not actual in superblock. And the xfs_repair utility will find transactions included in the actual counters in the journal of the snapshot and report errors.
However, it should be noted that there are no data inconsistency or functionality issues that have been found related to this issue.
