The steps which may resolve the issue are the following:
1) Please ensure that Antivirus software is not blocking traffic.
2) Update the network card drivers on the Core server and remote machine that hosts the repository. Also make sure that the link speed/duplex values are set properly on all machines.
3) If the share is located on NAS box, check if the NAS firmware has the latest version.
4) We strongly suggest to review the network connectivity and storage hardware once again as this is most probably the environmental problem
