Restoring a VM to a resource pool with double-byte characters in the name
Description

A virtual machine cannot be restored if the name of the target resource pool includes characters from the double-byte character set.
Cause

This is a product defect.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Restore the virtual machine to the root resource pool. To do this, specify “/” in the Allocate to Different Resource Pool box. After the restore completes, manually move the virtual machine to the desired resource pool using the vSphere Client.
STATUS:
Waiting for fix in a future release of NetVault Backup VMware Plugin.
