How to Move a Protected Server to a new core in AppAssure or Rapid Recovery (4033077)

To migrate one agent to another within Rapid Recovery you will need to archive off the recovery points from the current core that is backing up the protected machine, and then import those recovery points into the other (new) core, and re-protect the agent. To accomplish this  you will need to:

• Archive off the existing recovery points from the current core

1. Log into the core
2. Pause protection on the agent(s) that you are migrating
3. Navigate to Tools > Archive > Create
4. Choose the location of where you you want to archive the data to
5. Choose the agents
6. At Options click next
7. Choose the date ranger
8. Create the archive

• Import the archive into the new core

1. Log into the core
2. Navigate to Tools > Archive Import
3. Choose the agents you want to import
4. Chose the repository you wish to import to
5. Import the archive

• Protect the agent on the new core

1. Log into the core
2. Click Protect > Protect Machine
3. Choose Typical or Advanced and point to the agent that you just imported
