How to disable Logging -
Description
Desktop Authority’s log files are used to track information about users logging onto the network and the computer they are logging on from. They can be viewed in the Log File Viewer within Desktop Authority Manager.

Cause
During the installation of Desktop Authority, the installation wizard prompts for the creation of a share for logging. The default share is LOGS$.
If you choose to create the share, logging is enabled. If you are not using the log files that are generated, you can easily disable logging by clearing out the share name during the install or after the installation has completed. The log file location is profile-specific so you must disable this feature for each profile. -
Resolution
In the Desktop Authority Manager:
- Select Client Configuration | Profiles | User | 'ProfileName' | Logging.
- Click "Edit".
- Clear the entry in the field labeled “Path” under the section “Log File location”.
- Click "Save".
Repeat these steps for each profile, once completed click Replicate Changed (files)default at the bottom left corner.
