Description
The following error message may appear when attempting to install any application to a Windows XP Pro operating system:
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

Cause
This error commonly occurs because the AUTOEXEC.NT file does not exist in the System 32 directory. It appears that many preventative type software packages such as Pop-Up blockers, spyware and adaware programs are recognizing this file as being associated with a virus, and removing the file.

Resolution
To fix this error, please download the AUTOEXECNT.zip file located below and extract it to the C:\WINDOWS\system32 directory and attempt to run the desired setup package.
