Im using source control WITHOUT Team Coding (i.e. View | Toad Options | Source Control). My source control provider is set to Visual Source Safe.
1. I load a package into the Editor from the Schema Browser
2. I do a Save As to the working directory for his VSS project
3. I click on the Check-OUT button
4. When I click on the Check-IN button, I receive a pop-up dialog from TOAD that states
File \\<path>\<file_name>.pks not found.
5. When I look in the folder where I saved the file to to I found that the saved file is missing
6. A check of Source Safe reveals that the file is checked in
Why is Toads source control deleting saved files that I checked in?
WORKAROUND:
Re-install Microsoft Visual Source Safe again for Toad 10 seems to help.You do not have to uninstall MS Source Safe to re-install it.Run the installer and selected to rebuild.

This issue is seen if the below two conditions are met:
1.If theVSS working folder is on a network drive and a local folder is mapped to that network drive andwhen you do a Save As, you are saving to the network folder via the local folder that is mapped to it
2. If Toad 10 isNOT the only Toad version you have used your current install of VSS with
In other words, if you are using VSS with Toad 9.7.2.5 already, youll see this issue on Toad 10; however, if you only use your current install of VSS with Toad 10, you should be OK.
