In order to perform a silent install for Toad for Oracle, you must first extract the MSI file from the Quest Installer. This MSI is then used with the installation variable (ADDLOCAL parameter in the examples below) to define the type of install you want to perform.
For current releases of Toad from v2025 R3 onwards:
From the latest version of Toad, the .msi installers can now be extracted from the main .exe installer, rather than downloaded separately.
The steps to extract them are:
====================
1. Download the main .exe Toad installer from: https://support.quest.com/toad-for-oracle/2025%20r3/download-new-releases?started=6142610
2. In the folder it is downloaded / saved to, open a command prompt and type the command:
ToadforOracle_2025R3_x64_En.exe /extract
e.g. C:\test\>ToadforOracle_2025R3_x64_En.exe /extract
3. This will extract the invividual .MSI files to the same directory as the .exe installer.

The packer.exe will extract the installers into seperate folders from the Quest Installer and uploads the files into the directory you have specified. You can then open the new folders to view the MSI files. The command to extract in the command prompt is as follows:
packer.exe extract "path where the installer executable resides" "extraction path"
For example:
packer.exe extract "C:\temp\Toad for Oracle 9.6.1 Commercial.exe" "C:\temp"
For Toad 9.5 please go to the TOAD_Standalone\9_5_0_31 folder and execute the ToadforOracle95SetupFull.msi file. During the installation, check both the Server and Client option together and deselect the Citrix to avoid errors from appearing when launching Toad after entering your license key.
To perform a silent install of Toad (ver. 9.6):
You may download the Toad Getting Started Guide for Toad 9.6 PDF file from the website as well. Please refer to page 17 of the documentation (page 25 of entire PDF file).
