NOTE: Be aware of the following:

•

The Stat Client can run on a workstation or Windows server. In some cases the compatibility mode may need to be set to Windows XP.

•

When Stat is running on a Microsoft Server operating system, opening a CSR may cause an Internet Explorer security prompt to appear. To prevent this, add about:security_stat.exe to the Trusted sites zone.

•

Beginning with the Stat release after Stat 6.2, the 32-bit Stat Windows Client will no longer be included.

Database Connectivity

To create a successful connection, the architecture (bitness) of the database client/driver must match the architecture (bitness) of the Stat Client. For example, the 64-bit Stat Client requires an applicable 64-bit database client/driver, and the 32-bit Stat Client requires an applicable 32-bit database client/driver.

Oracle E-Business Object Compare

Oracle E-Business object comparison is an optional feature with its own requirements. To enable object compare support for Oracle E-Business objects, a compatible version of Oracle Developer Suite and the Forms Applet Jar Files component must be installed. Additional requirements are needed for the following:

•

To enable object compare support for Oracle developer objects in patches, the Oracle JVM and the file stat_db.jar must be installed in the Stat repository.

•

To enable object compare support for form library files that have attached libraries, the FORMS60_PATH environment variable must be set to reference a staging directory (FORMS_PATH for FORMS 10).
