Project Lucy Upload Failure Alarm

The Lucy upload failure alarm becomes active when Spotlight detects that the upload of data to the Project Lucy service is not successful.

When this alarm is active you should:

• Check if the Project Lucy service is running by accessing https://www.projectlucy.com/
• Check the Spotlight Lucy configuration to ensure the Lucy account is valid. See "Configure Uploading data to Project Lucy" (page 1) for more information.
• Check the machine on which the Spotlight Diagnostic Server is installed can connect to the Internet.
• Check the Proxy Server on the Spotlight Diagnostic Server. Ensure the proxy server supports HTTP 1.1.

Project Lucy uploads data daily at 3:00 am. Following a Project Upload Failure Alarm the data that failed to upload will be uploaded the following day at 3:00 am.

Data files to be uploaded to Project Lucy can be found in the Spotlight on SQL Server installation directory:

..\Agent\data\lucy

Project Lucy is a free service provided by Quest Software that analyzes your performance data, gives you reports and insight into your monitored database's performance and allows you to compare your experience to everyone else that uses the service.
