The clients primarily talk SIP to the Lync/Skype server, or UCWA in the case of mobile which involves a web component, as does the client interaction with the address book.
This panel allows you to view how the server is processing incoming mobile messages. You can use this panel to determine if the server is too busy and is unable to process user requests in timely fashion.
AB Health State
Indicates the state of the Address Book file requests and search requests to the Lync 2013 or Skype for Business 2015 server. Click the component to display a drilldown that shows the status of the failed/succeeded Address Book file download requests rate and the Address Book Web Query failures rate.
AB Processing Time (ms)
Shows the average processing time for a successful Address Book file request (in milliseconds). Click the component to display a drilldown that shows the Address Book average processing time (ms) and the Address Book Web Query average processing time (ms).
Web Req Queue
Indicates number of current application requests.
This value can grow if the application is overloaded due to a large number of requests. The number can also represent requests that are waiting on other services to respond or software errors that result in no response.
HTTP Proxy Requests
Shows the number of HTTP proxy requests that are pending for completion.
This panel allows you to view how the server is processing SIP messages. You can use this panel to determine if the server is too busy and is unable to process user requests in timely fashion.
Msg Hold Time (s)
The average time that the server held the incoming SIP messages currently being processed. A healthy system should have a hold time of less than 3 seconds.
Msg Processing Time (s)
The average time (in seconds) it takes to process an incoming SIP message.
Msg Timed Out
The number of incoming SIP messages currently being held by the server for processing for more than the maximum tracking interval.
Outgoing Queue Delay
The average time (in seconds) for messages delayed in the outgoing (send) queues. The server will drop client connections if it is throttled and messages stay in the outgoing queue for more than 20 seconds.
Use this indicator to determine if the destination of the connection is overloaded or if network bandwidth to the destination is insufficient.
The Server Health panel displays information about Lync/Skype and IIS services, and shows the availability and status of various services on the server. This panel includes:
Lync/Skype Services
Indicates the status of the Lync/Skype services that are set as required on this server. It will set an alarm if any of the required services are not currently running.
The spinner shows the CPU percentage that is used by the Lync/Skype services running on this server.
IIS Service
Shows the status of Internet Information Services (IIS) on the this server (running, stopped, or service is not installed).
The spinner shows the CPU percentage that is used by IIS running on this server.
MCU Health State
Indicates the current health of application sharing conferences, audio/video (A/V) conferences, data conferences, and instant messaging (IM) conferences.
CMS Replication
Indicates whether the Central Management Store (CMS) replication for this server is up-to-date.
MCU Allocation Latency (ms)
This indicates the average time (in milliseconds) that it takes to complete a full MCU allocation request. If the value is high, it might be a temporary situation if the MCU factory or MCU or back-end is busy and does not respond immediately.
Database Queue Latency (ms)
Indicates the average time (in milliseconds) that a request is held in the request queue that is going to the back-end database. If the topology is healthy, this value averages less than 5000 ms. Occasional spikes are acceptable.
Create Conference Latency (ms)
This indicates the average time (in milliseconds) that it takes to complete a create conference call. If the value is high, it might be a temporary situation if the MCU or back-end is busy and does not respond immediately
Storage Service Database
Shows the current percentage of space that is used by the Storage Service database.
The OS/Subsystem panel displays information about the amount of CPU being used by all processes. It also indicates the amount of System Memory and System Disk being used, and reports on any errors. This panel includes:
CPU Usage
Indicates the amount of CPU used by all processes on the monitored server.
System Disk
Indicates the percentage of system disk space being used, showing the amount of used space and the amount of free space.
Top CPU Consumer
Indicates the top consumer of processing resources.
Top Memory Consumer
Indicates the top consumer of memory.
System Memory
Indicates the amount of system memory that is used by all processes on the monitored server.
Ping Time
Indicates the amount of time it takes the computer running the diagnostic console to ping the target server.
Network Output Queue
Shows the number of packets waiting to be sent from the target server. The network output queue can help alert you to problems the server is experiencing with network connectivity.
Theoretical Bandwidth
Indicates the level of network traffic graphed against a "theoretical" maximum bandwidth. The maximum bandwidth is calculated by totaling the capacity of all network devices reported by the operating system. If you are running on an Ethernet network, the actual maximum is approximately 50% of the theoretical bandwidth because of the methods involved in sending data. Having the actual bandwidth equal the theoretical bandwidth is only possible using full duplex Ethernet. Token passing network topologies, such as Token ring and FDDI, enable a theoretical maximum bandwidth much closer to the actual bandwidth.
