Foglight Agent Manager Development Kit

Foglight agents require the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) to manage their life-cycles and centralize communications with the Foglight Management Server.

The Agent Manager Development Kit enables developers to create and manage custom Foglight agents.

These Release Notes cover the resolved issues, known issues, workarounds, and other important information about the 6.3.0 release of the Agent Manager Development Kit. Review all sections before starting the installation.

New in this release

Version 6.3 of Foglight contains the following new features and updates:

User Experience Enhancements

• Introducing Query Insights - Allows Foglight users to see the most time-consuming and frequently executed queries.
• New Audit Log dashboard - Modernize and improved UI. Include the ability to filter audit-logged messages

Security Enhancements

• FglAM installer for Windows platforms is generated at build time, signed with the Quest certificate during the build, and shipped with the product. Users can now download an executable that they can verify has been produced by Quest and can trust. (FOG-4056)
• Updated default encryption algorithm to AES-256
• Updated Java JRE used by Foglight to version 1.8.0_352
• Updated third-party libraries

Improvements

• PagerDuty cartridge is provided without the need for a special license (FOG-4816)
