Duplicate alarms show in alarm templates after upgrading to Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise to 15.0. (4379647)

When an alarm template created in Spotlight Enterprise 15.0 (or earlier) includes changes to Azure SQL Managed Instance alarms, upgrading to a version before Spotlight Enterprise 15.1 may result in duplicate alarms appearing in the template.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create an alarm template in Spotlight Enterprise 14.0, with at least one modified Azure SQL Managed Instance alarm
2. Upgrade to Spotlight Enterprise 14.1, 14.1.2, or 15.0.

Observed behavior:
- The modified alarm appears twice in the template.
- One instance shows the Customized column as Yes, the other as No

Product Defect - BUG ID : SEMB-2767

This issue is resolved on Spotlight Enterprise 15.1. The duplicate alarm will no longer appear in v15.1.

If the issue persists on a version lower to Spotlight Enterprise 15.1, please follow the steps -

1. Identify the duplicate alarm in the template.
2. Edit the alarm that should be removed.
3. Check the Factory Settings checkbox.
4. Click OK to remove the alarm from the template.
