Upon Starting of sp_cop user gets error: not enough shared memory
This happens when the Oracle SGA is bigger than 1GB. Users can check the memory segment by running the following command: ipcs -a
On a HP system when there is a SGA that big i.e. over 1GB, it is divided into 2 and one part starts in the lower quadrant and the other half in the upper quadrant.
対策
WORKAROUND:
Since Shareplex is 32 bit app , it always starts in the lower quadrant. To run Shareplex when the SGA is over 1GB and divided into the lower and upper memory quadrants, the solution is to start shareplex in the upper quadrant.
