vSphere logs indicates the following:
{disk name}.vmdk is not an rdm
Raw device mapping (RDM) in vSphere provides a mechanism for a virtual machine to have direct access to a LUN on the physical storage subsystem. During an export job, if the VM configuration is restored, the re-creation of this storage device causes the job to fail.
Uncheck the option to Restore configuration data when creating the export job. The VM will be created using only the storage devices that were backed up using rapid recovery. Additional storage devices can be re-attached after powering on the restored system.
