We are excited to announce a new release of Foglight.

Look what's new in 8.0.0:

  • AI Alarms: Provides actionable troubleshooting recommendations to speed up alarm resolutions. (Requires an additional license).
  • Query Explorer: Quickly find queries by text, copied from other APM or DB tools, eliminate blind spots, and tune them. Analyze top queries by resource use.
  • Performance Investigator: Improved blocking list display.
  • User Experience: Added the ability to set a homepage in the Angular UI.
  • Alarm Templates Enhancements: Allows Foglight agent Credentials & Health Alarms to be managed using Alarm Templates.
  • Platform Support and Security Enhancement:
  • Added PI support for MySQL on Azure Flexible Server (Foglight for MySQL PI)

    o    Collecting deadlocks via extended events for AWS RDS (Foglight for SQL Server)

    o    Added support for monitoring PDB-only databases in Oracle (Foglight for Oracle)

Foglight 6.3.0 is scheduled to go into discontinued support on Nov 27,2025.
