'
‘B2D1' is a folder on a Network Share: \\WOLNAS02\BkupExecB2d01 (NAS) that has been selected for the backup.
These are the problem error messages:
a] Unable to initialize path to selected item 'B2D1' - won't back up this item or its children b] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Creating a new network share in the Filesystem Plugin backup also resulted in the same issue. This confirms that there is a problem connecting to the ‘B2D1' folder on the \\WOLNAS02\BkupExecB2d01 path.
対策
The issue is resolved by checking/implementing the following items:
1] Using the VSS backup option helps when performing network share backups.
2] Make sure that full administrator permissions are given for that network path and folder.
3] Make sure you have configured the network share correctly as per the following KBA:
4] Setting the NetVault Process Manager Service in the Windows Services > Logon tab > to use a Domain Administrator login (instead of a local Administrator), that the share path and folders uses as well.
Note: Since this shared folder was on a NAS, then this potentially won’t always work with the Filesystem Plugin - Network Share item as intended. Please see section 4.7.0 of the Filesystem Plugin Users Guide on the following link:
“Currently the network share backup support is limited to only Windows network shares. Problems might be encountered if you use this feature to backup CIFS-compatible shares such as Samba, Snap Appliance Filers or Mac OS X Shares. This includes the inability to backup files with certain filename encoding or lengths, changing the filename while backing them up, or not restoring the permissions correctly.”.
Tip: Try using the NDMP Plugin for connecting and backing up a network share on a NAS device.
