While trying to add the target O365 tenant and receiving the attached PowerShell error.
The execution policies are set to 'unrestricted', but we still get the error. Quest console log and this is empty.
We have also tried adding it via the config pair wizard and the new 0365 connection wizard with the same issue.
We have also opened the Quest console as the user and as administrator.
Policies via GPO’s are usually more strict .
It appears that the Execution Policies on the MMAD consoles are actually too relaxed.
With “Unrestricted” set for all policies, MMAD cannot make the connection to o365.
Once we configure at least the MachinePolicy to RemoteSigned the connection is successful.
“Undefined” Is more strict than “Unresolved”, where it is actually equal to “Restricted”.
The “MachinePolicy” needs to set in the registry to get to “RemoteSigned”
HKLM:\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell and change the ExecutionPolicy value to RemoteSigned.
