Unable to create a repository larger than 250 TB

By default, Rapid Recovery does not allow to create repositories larger than 250 TB on a single extension.

Trying to create a repository that exceeds 250TB will trigger the next error message:

'''X:\Repository 1' size 597.07 TB (656487898677248 bytes) exceeds the maximum allowed file size for NTFS file system. Please use multiple repository files to achieve the desired repository size."

The issue has been identified as defect RR-111439. The defect will be evaluated by our Product Team for inclusion in a future release of Rapid Recovery. 

A list of "Resolved Issues" is published in the product Release Notes accompanying new releases that can be referenced to identify if a fix for this defect has been implemented. Product Release Notes are available in the "Release Notes and Guides” area of our Support Portal at quest.com/support.

If you have any issues with the patch, you can also download the DLL according to your Rapid Recovery version and apply it by following the steps below:

1. Stop core service.
   • Copy dll to the following locations:
   • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService
   • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\BootCdKit\RecoveryTools_x64\Rrc_x64
   • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\CoreService\HyperVAgent
   • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\PowerShellModule\PowerShellSupportModule
   • C:\Program Files\AppRecovery\Core\PowerShellModule
2. Start core service and try to create the repository again.
