When using Migrator for NDS to migrate to a non Windows based target, such as a NAS or SAN storage device, you may experience the following error:
57 ► * Error * [15:13:56.169] Network error 5 from NetShareGetInfo("fs01.domain.com","shared_drive")
58 ► * Error * [15:13:56.169] Error 59 (An unexpected network error occurred) determining physical disk for "\\?\UNC\fs01.domain.com\shared_drive"
WORKAROUND:
Some customers have reported performing a "two stage" migration with Migrator for NDS when experiencing this issue. Stage 1 would be to migrate directly to a Windows based file server. Stage 2 would be to then copy that data from the Windows based server to the target storage device using Robocopy, which should then maintain/migrate the permissions that Migrator for NDS migrated to the Windows based file server.
