Error: "Critical Error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to the completion of the operation or the server is not responding" (4315780)

Trying to run a report results in the following error:

"Critical Error: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to the completion of the operation or the server is not responding"

IMPORTANT:

Quest does not provide support for problems that arise from improper modification of the registry. The Windows registry contains information critical to your computer and applications. Make sure you back up the registry before modifying it. For more information on the Windows Registry Editor and how to back up and restore it, refer to Microsoft Article ID 256986 “Description of the Microsoft Windows registry” at Microsoft Support.

1. On the Active Administrator Server, go to Start - Run - Regedit
2. Browse to HKLM\Software\Quest\Active Administrator\Settings\AFS
3. Modify the SQLServerCommandTimeOut to a larger value, such as 1500 or higher
4. Restart the Active Administrator Foundation service
5. Re-launch the Active Administrator console
6. Run the report
