License Activation Status is Expired or Usage Exceeded (4299343)

When attempting to login to the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) an error may be received related to a licensing issue:

• "Your SMA license has exceeded the 3 instance limit."
• "Your SMA license is no longer valid, or has expired."

Depending on which error is received, there will be a different Activation Status:

• Usage Exceeded
• Expired

While these situations may seem similar, they have different root causes and thus different resolutions.
