This is not supported. The discovery uses the computers that are discovered or found in Active Directory during the Active Directory discovery. Also, please note that Enterprise Reporter is a product for Active Directory and not a general network scanner. If the computer is not in Active Directory, then it will not be searched for it. This is why the Computer discovery has a number of options for doing a computer discovery.
As mentioned in the User Guide, you can discover computers by importing a list of computers with IP addresses, FQDN, NetBIOS names, etc. You can also conduct a computer discovery with IP addresses within a subnet. With all these options the most important issue is that the account used by the Node (service account) has access to the machines by being in the Local Administrators group. If the service account is not in the local admin group then the discovery will not be able to access the machine. Again, Enterprise Reporter requires access to the computer so it can return the information about the computer and is not a general network scanner.
