- Check that a matching discovery for the report type has been run successfully as stated on KB article 126313 (https://support.quest.com/enterprise-reporter-for-windows-servers/kb/126313)
- Check the Scope of the discovery configuration to ensure it has not been limited and preventing the requested data from being collected. For example: If the option 'Only collect files with explicit permissions' option selected on the Files page of the discovery, all files that have only inherited permissions will be excluded from the discovery and will not be returned in the reports. Or if the Folder depth has been set to a specific number instead of collecting all depths
- If a Discovery for the report type has been run without issues, the search parameters on the report might not exist in the database. Make sure that the search information you type exists on the database by using the magnifying glass button to search for parameter data as it was entered in the database
For example, if you are running a files report, and you want to report on all ".pdf" files created in the last "n" days, but you just type "pdf" as the parameter, the report will return "No data found" because there is no such entry in the database. Enterpise Reporter looks for exact information, so in order to verify what the information is, using the search button (magnifying glass) is recommended.
