How To: Filter Exchange Objects from coming over to Domino via the Directory Connector (4254507)

Exchange to Note Directory sync – Contacts hidden from Exchange GAL are populated in Notes Address Book

Directory Connector uses LDAP to populate the addressbook  not look at the GAL. 

In Active Directory

1. Open the properties of the user(s) that you want to filter and select the Attribute Editor tab
2. Select extensionAttribute1 
3. Click Edit and add a value you desire, then click OK

In the CMN console

1. Right click on the Exchange to Notes Directory Connector for Users that you want to filter user from coming over
2. Select Advanced Settings...
3. Select the Users tab
4. Select the Provision Filters tab
5. Select mail and click Edit
6. Click the Attribute command button
7. in Source Attribute: select extensionAttribute1 and click OK
8. in the Specify Operation select the radio button Not presednt and click Add
9. Click OK
10. Verify the mail filter has Number of Conditions one higher than Mail2 (default Mail2=3)
11. Select mail2 and click Edit
12. Click the Attribute command button
13. in Source Attribute: select extensionAttribute1 and click OK
14. in the Specify Operation select the radio button Not presednt and click Add
15. Click OK
16. Verify the mail2 filter has Number of Conditions equal to mail (the one you just modified)

If the contacts that you wanted to filter are in Domino are present Delete them and restart the LDAP service on the Domino server.

Run the connector and all but the contacts you wanted to filter should be there.
