New Features

This release of Toad™ Data Modeler 5.5 includes the following new features and enhancements.

Toad Intelligence Central integration

Toad Data Modeler now allows users to connect to their Toad Intelligence Central (TIC) servers. Users can save existing files (artifacts) to their computer or publish Models and Reports to TIC.

Models can be published to Toad Intelligence Central at any time using Publish Toad Data Modeler.

Model dialog, which can be opened by clicking the Publish... button on the new Intelligence

Central Toolbar.

Reports can be published to Toad Intelligence Central by checking the appropriate option in the Select File section of Report Wizard.

Custom property direct support.
It is now possible to create custom properties for most objects easily using the New Custom Property tool. The tool can be opened via right-clicking an object in Object Explorer and selecting Add Custom Property.

MySQL new supported properties:

SQL, AfterScript, BeforeScript tabs for Users. Users can be now generated.

CREATE, DROP for Databases. Databases can now be generated.

MySQL 5.6 - specific properties introduced in TDM 5.4 are now supported in Change Script generation (see TDM 5.4 release notes for more information).

PostgreSQL new supported properties

Role Options, SQL, AfterScript and BeforeScript tabs for User Groups.

Permissions for Schemas.

 PostgreSQL 9.4 - specific properties introduced in TDM 5.4 are now supported in Change Script generation (see TDM 5.4 release notes for more information).

PostgreSQL 9.3 - specific properties introduced in TDM 5.4 are now supported in Change Script generation (see TDM 5.4 release notes for more information).

DB2 LUW new supported properties

Authorization (Owner Name), DataCapture (v. 10.1 and higher) for Schemas. Schemas can be now generated.

Reset to Default Layout

Added new option to Settings Menu - Reset to Default Layout. This option allows users to reset the application layout after a restart (all toolbars and windows will return to their default positions).

Disable/enable restoring models at startup
Added new option to Options | Model - Restore Last Open Models at Startup. Users can now decide whether they want to restore models opened in previous session.

Verification Log ignored messages

Messages in Verification Log can be now ignored/removed from ignore list using new buttons. Ignored messages can be also hidden.

Copying objects via scripting

Users can now copy and paste objects between workspaces of one model using scripting.
