Upgrade and compatibility

Foglight Evolve 6.0.0 includes Foglight for vCloud Director version 6.0.0.

Foglight for vCloud Director supports VMware® vCloud Director® 9.5, 9.7, and all versions of VMware vSphere® supported by Foglight for VMware.

The following is a list of Foglight product versions and platforms compatible with this release.

To upgrade to the latest version of Foglight for vCloud Director:

1. Deactivate all vCloud Director agent instances.
2. On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the vCloud-Director-6_0_0.car file. Do not remove the older version of this cartridge. Install version 6.0.0 over the older version. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.
3. On the vCloud Environment dashboard, on the Administration tab, update all of the existing vCloud Director agent instances.
4. Activate all vCloud Director agent instances.

Before installing Foglight for vCloud Director, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements.

Note: Foglight for vCloud Director requires that the cartridge is installed and enabled on the same Management Server. For complete information about Foglight for vCloud Director, see the Managing vCloud Director Environments User and Reference Guide.
