We are receiving the following errors when migrating a few mailboxes.
Mailbox provision failed due to the timeout limit was exceeded
The target account attribute 'displayName' with the '<Name>' value was not found
Mailbox provision failed due to the timeout limit was exceeded
Invalid user '<Name>' specified.

Causa
Content from a mailbox that is on-prem with ODM cannot be migrated. The source mailbox has to be in the cloud.
Review info in Azure AD is there a value for “msExchMailboxGUID”? Exchange Online (EXO) thinks there is an on-prem mailbox for that user. It’s preventing the EXO mailbox from being created. -
Risoluzione
In ODM AD edit the Dirsync Template Mappings to exclude the mappings of MsExchMailboxGUID, msExchArchiveGUID and msExchArchiveName
There is an ArchiveMailboxGUID which needs to be cleared as well. This attribute is preventing the target mailbox from being created and displaying the mailbox in on-prem.
