Microsoft 365 backup jobs that have been completing successfully for a considerable amount of time suddenly failed with Error message from library - Check in More Info. When the error message is clicked on the job logs, additional information is displayed indicating that the problem is due to Exception occurred - Reason:Code: InvalidAuthenticationToken. -
Causa
Unless the plugin configuration was changed, the most likely reason for the error will be an expired secret. -
Risoluzione
If the tenant information was recently modified, please re-enter the correct values. Otherwise, check if the used secret has expired:

- Select your organization Microsoft 365 App
- From the left navigation pane, select Certificates & Secrets
- Verify the expiration date for the used secret
If the certificate or secret has expired, create a new one and update the NetVault plugin for Microsoft 365. Enter the new Application Password. When creating a new secret, take not of its Value which is required to configure the plugin. The secret's Value can't be copied again if the webpage is reloaded.
