When upgrading a NetVault Server that has been added as a client to another NetVault Server, the upgrade may fail with the following error:
Error: There has been an error. Setup has detected an existing installation of NetVault, but failed to determine whether it is a Client or a Server. Please contact Quest Support.

Causa
The [Details] stanza in configure.cfg has some case typos and will look as follows:
[Details]
server = FALSE
nv_vendor = Quest

Risoluzione
When this problem occurs we need to modify the configure.cfg file. If default paths are used, it can be found in:
Linux: /usr/netvault/config/
Windows: C:\Program Files\Quest\NetVault\config
The [Details] stanza within the configure.cfg file should be corrected to have "Server" with capital "S" as shown below:
