During Directory Synchronization configuration, a .xml file can not be selected properly -

During the configuration of directory synchronization, when attempting to specify an add-in from the advanced options screen, the setting does not stay selected. The checkbox is checked, browsing to the file is successfully, and however after choosing "ok" to exit the synchronization properties, the selection does not stay in place. Upon checking the dsa.log file you will see that the selected add-in is not being utilities, and upon checking the advanced options settings within the synchronization properties the settings previously selected are not displayed.

Causa
This issue is a direct result of a problem with the .xml file being used.

Risoluzione
Attempt to open the .xml file using an .xml editor or text editor to view the contents. If there is damage or the file is empty please attempt to reapply using a properly formatted file
