"Bad file descriptor"

The error occurs when a log file size reached size defined in the logger.conf file (by default 50 MB) and services are not able to write into log files.

The file location is: [Site Administrator for SharePoint installation folder]\SharePoint Information Portal\Logs

The default value is:

logging.maxbytes = 52428800

As a solution, increase the number to 500MB for example.

It won't prevent file from growing. If the file exceeds 500MB you see the same error again.

Perform the following steps periodically on all WFE servers to delete the files:

1. Stop the following services:
Quest.InfoPortal.SPBrowserAgent
Quest.InfoPortal.SPBrowserBroker

2. Delete the following files:
SpBrowserAgent.log
SpBrowserBroker.log

3. Start services.

If services do not start, change the value to a smaller value, for example 250Mb
