SMA Agents not checking in after upgrading to Agent Version 14.0.91

After upgrading to SMA 14.0 and enabling agent updates with Agent Bundle 14.0.91, it can be noticed that agents are online, but not performing inventory.

This is caused by Defect ID: K1A-4121. This issue happens because the agent now collects MDM vendor information from the device. Some MDM vendors advertise their server URL containing "&", breaking the inventory process. We have seen this happen with the following vendors:

1. ManageEngine MDM
2. Cisco Meraki MDM

Note: We've also seen that not all devices are affected by this, and this list may also extend to other vendors.

A new agent bundle has been released, 14.0.94!

Apply the agent bundle to the SMA using the normal process, but a script is required for devices to obtain the new agent, since they're not able to check-in automatically.

1. A Manual Label can be created by Filtering for Agent devices with version 14.0.91, Selecting All Devices from the filter > Choose Action > Add Label > Add Name for Label

Note: A Smart Label won't work as Devices can't perform Inventory.

2. The Online KScript only requires a single step: runkbot.exe 5 0. This triggers a manual Agent Update. This will run successfully as the agent is Online and will receive the script:

SMA Agent 14.1.13 is also affected by this defect, and will be remediated on an upcoming re-release. For the time being, please use the 14.0.94 agent.

Alternatively, the agent can also via installed manually using it's .msi installer.

If agent bundle 14.0.94 is applied and a 13.2 agent is updated by this new bundle, then this process won't be required.
