How to change the "Availability Criteria" of SLAs?
When opening the dashboard "Service Levels" the "Availability Criteria" is defined as:
"State of the monitored source must be at a severity level of Critical or lower."
How to change it from "Critical" to "Warning"?
There is a registry variable called "FMSServiceSLP_StateThreshold" and this is set to 4 - fatal. That means if a component of a service is fatal, the whole service will be fatal (related to the amount of time the component is fatal).
Set the variable to 3 - critical and also critical components will be considered.
When setting different scopes for this registry variable, the value can differ for different objects.
If different scopes are not set, the new threshold will effect all services.
The information box on dashboard "Service Levels" will not change because the sentences "State of the monitored source must be at a severity level of Critical or lower" is hard coded. It can be changed that manually if needed, but it will not change automatically according to the selected service.
To modify the sentence, look at the design of the dashboard - the related view called "SLA Information". After opening the view, click on "Edit" and modify the cell, which contain the sentence. Finally save the change.
