To add a Topology Type to manage its instance count on the stale objects dashboard, add a scoped registry values with the intended Topology Type to the registry variable "server.topology.objectExpiryDays". Performing this step will have the intended topology type appear in the "Management Server | Servers | Object Cleanup" dashboard. This will also enable the new objects to be deleted during nightly maintenance operations.

( Adding Topology Type to Stale Objects Object Dashboard (Investigate Objects for Cleanup dashboard)
- Navigate to "Administration | Rules and Notifications | Manage Registry Variables" dashboard
- Filter in the input box by "server.topology.objectExpiryDays"
- Click on the "server.topology.objectExpiryDays" variable name
- Select "View and Edit Details"
- On the "Edit Registry Variable: server.topology.objectExpiryDays" dashboard, under the Registry Values" table and click "Add" button
- "Registry Value Wizard" is displayed, select a "Topology Type" from the list or filter by using the SearchBox the required Topology Type.
- Note: Only those topology objects of the topology types specifically configured for participation in this staleness detection/deletion are included
- Select the needed Topology Type from the list
- Click "Next" button
- Select objects of the desired type or all, by default all objects is selected.
- Configure the value. Select "Static Value", on the "Enter desired value":
- 0 represents this object will not be considered stale and being deleted; but will the object will be included in the Object Cleanup dashboard.
- -1 represents global default settings; by default the object will be considered stale and deleted after 30 days.
- Value bigger than 0 represents this type of objects will be considered stale and being deleted after the specified days.
- Click "Finish".
To verify, access the "Management Server | Servers | Object Cleanup" dashboard (Investigate Objects for Cleanup dashboard)
