Change Auditor 7.6 Web Client Upgrade Process (4380093)

This article outlines the procedure for upgrading the Change Auditor web client from version 7.5 and earlier versions.

Change Auditor web client version 7.6 requires a secure HTTPS connection. Earlier versions of the Change Auditor web client allowed insecure HTTP connections.

• Ensure the target IIS website is configured with HTTPS bindings.

• If a previous version of Change Auditor web client was installed on the Default Web Site, default port (80):
• Proceed with the upgrade.
• If a previous version of Change Auditor web client was installed on a non-default port, or a custom website.
• You may be prompted to uninstall the existing ChangeAuditor web client instance during the upgrade.
  Note: The installer for ChangeAuditor web client version 7.5 (or earlier) may delete the website during uninstallation. Ensure you back up your IIS configuration before proceeding with the upgrade. Note: If using the Install-CAWebClient PowerShell command to install the web client with the optional -SitePort parameter, you will receive a parameter error and the installation will fail, as this parameter was removed in 7.6.
