Prior versions of Toad for Oracle included a Telnet utility that had limited capability (see Telnet won't send pasted text (64257) ). I can't find this utility in the 11.6.1 release although the options for it are on the Options | Network Utilities page. Is the Telnet utility available?
The Network Utilities feature was deprecated starting in Toad for Oracle 11.0.
The following features have been removed from the menus in Toad 11. They will be permanently removed after Toad 11.
Network Utilities—The TNSPing feature is available on the Database Login window. The REXEC/SSH feature is available as a Toad Action.
