Note: This feature is available in the Toad Data Point Professional edition only and requires access to a Toad Intelligence Central server.
Review the following considerations and limitations when using Intelligence Central objects.
Consideration/Limitation | Description |
---|---|
Querying a dataset |
For datasets published using Toad Data Point 3.6 or earlier, use the following naming format when querying a dataset: data_<user name>.<dataset name> For example, data_susanb.MyFavDataset |
Data Compare | You cannot use Data Compare with Intelligence Central objects. |
Import Wizard | You cannot import data into Intelligence Central using the Import Wizard. |
Comment syntax | When querying TIC objects, if you include a comment in your SQL script and you use the double hyphen style (--), TIC may not execute the complete statement resulting in an incorrect result set. Use the following comment style instead: /* my comment */. |
Read-only | Data sources in Intelligence Central are read-only. |
Data precision |
Caution: When data includes high-precision numbers (i.e., those with a large number of decimal places), results from publishing to Intelligence Central may not always be as expected. In some cases, data may be truncated to include not more than 15 significant digits. |
