Toad allows you to connect to Amazon DynamoDB, a NoSQL data source, to view and query tables.
After creating a connection, see About DynamoDB Data Sources for more information about working with this data source.
To create a DynamoBD connection
Enter the connection information in the Create New Connection dialog. Review the following for additional information:
Access Key |
Enter your AWS Access Key ID. Note: You can retrieve your Access Key ID from the Amazon AWS Web site, under Security Credentials. |
Secret Key |
Enter your AWS Secret Access Key. Note: You can retrieve your Secret Access Key from the Amazon AWS Web site, under Security Credentials. |
Region | You can select a regional endpoint from which to make your requests. |
Region endpoint | Displays the endpoint URL for the selected region. |
Category | (Optional) Select an existing category or create a new one. |
Note: In NoSQL and Business Intelligence connections, Toad automatically saves the password in the connections.xml file as obfuscated text, as well as in Toad. To add additional password security, use Toad's Master Password feature. |
