Verify that the following prerequisites are met before you install the Plug‑in for Exchange in a DAG deployment:

Microsoft Exchange DAG environment in place: You must have a properly configured DAG environment. |

Separate NetVault Backup Server machine: The machine that is to serve as the NetVault Backup Server must be properly configured. It must exist outside the Exchange Server DAG deployment, and it must have network connectivity to the nodes and hosts within the cluster. |
• |
NetVault Backup Client name must match host name of Exchange Server in a DAG environment: Verify that the name specified for the NetVault Backup Client matches the host name of the Exchange Server. |

In the Navigation pane, click Manage Clients. |

Click Choose Plug-in File, navigate to the location of the “.npk” installation file for the plug-in, for example, on the installation CD or the directory to which the file was downloaded from the website. |

Select the file entitled “exs-x-x-x-x-x.npk,” where xxxxx represents the version number and platform, and click Open. |

To begin installation, click Install Plugin. |

In the Package Store list, select the applicable repository. |

Click Add NetVault plug-in package. |

In the Select packages for deployment dialog, select the file entitled “exs-x-x-x-x-x.npk,” where xxxxx represents the version number and platform, and click Ok. |

Click Next. |

On the Machines to Have NetVault Software Installed page, select the applicable machines. |

If you are installing an upgrade, select Allow existing NetVault client installations to be upgraded. |

Click Install Software/Add Clients. |

After the plug-in is successfully installed, click Next to complete the process. |
