Spotlight client crashes on SQL Server selection, after upgrading to version 15.1.1 (4380794)

The Spotlight for SQL module crashes immediately upon clicking on a SQL Server instance in the Spotlight interface following an upgrade to version 15.1.1. No error details may appear in the standard support bundle logs.

To diagnose:

• Review the Windows Event Viewer for application errors related to Spotlight.
• Look for .NET Framework-related exceptions (e.g., errors indicating missing or incompatible .NET components).

This issue arises due to insufficient .NET Framework version on the client machine, which is a system requirement for Spotlight Enterprise version 15.1.1 and later.

• Verify .NET Framework Version: Ensure .NET Framework 4.8 or later is installed on the machine running the Spotlight client. Refer to the Spotlight Enterprise system requirements for confirmation.
  
  
• Install .NET Framework 4.8:
  • Download and install the offline installer from Microsoft: .NET Framework 4.8 Offline Installer.
