Description
After perfroming an in-place OS upgrade and re-installing Rapid Recovery the encrypted recovery points will not mount.
Error:
TevoMountReplay failed with error -2146233088 (0x80131500 - Unknown error (0x80131500))

Cause
If the encryption key was imported through the registry, there is a chance the encrypted passphrase is not being read correctly due to the OS change. -
Résolution
Workaround
- In Rapid Recovery Core console, select Encryption Keys from the More (…) menu.
- Edit the original encryption key and rename it.
- Create a new encryption key with the same name and passphrase a the original key.
- Open regedit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\EncryptionKeys; locate the original and new encryption keys.
- Copy the value of EncryptedPassphrase for the newly created key.
- Rename the newly created key.
- Change the name of the original encryption key back to what it was.
- Paste the value of EncryptedPassphrase value to the original key in the registry.
- Restart the Core service.
