We are excited to announce a new version of Metalogix ControlPoint 8.4 is now available for download.
Look what's new:
- ControlPoint Sensitive Content Manager Service has been significantly enhanced to work with the latest version (2.0) of Metalogix Sensitive Content Manager. Improvements include the following:
- A new Windows Service (Metalogix ControlPoint for Analysis) more efficiently prepares content for submission to Sensitive Content Manager, reducing incidents of submissions getting stuck in "Crawling" state.
- The number of different file types that can be scanned has been expanded to twenty four. (See the ControlPoint User Guide or Online Help for the complete list.)
- The concept of Public vs. Private SCM Profiles has been eliminated. All SCM Profiles are now either BuiltIn or Custom.
- The range of possible Severity Thresholds within an SCM Profile has been reduced to between 1 and 10.
- NOTE: If you upgrade from an earlier version of Metalogix Sensitive Content Manager, BuiltIn Profiles will reflect this change. Any Custom Profiles, pending content submissions, and/or ControlPoint Policies that use older Profiles may need to be re-created. Any Custom Profiles, as well as pending content submissions and/or ControlPoint Policies that use older Profiles may need to be re-created.
- The new ControlPoint Sensitive Content Manager Configuration Maintenance page provides a single interface for managing and testing EndPoints and changing preferences.
- ControlPoint for Office 365 (ControlPoint Online) now recognizes site ownership via AD groups
